Sean at Seven Months

It does not seem possible that my precious Sean is already seven months old! I know I’ve said it before, but he really is the sweetest, happiest baby you’ll ever meet.

It has been a big month for this little guy. This week he has gotten his first tooth and first ear infection. He is also rolling around and just starting to sit up on his own.

Sean prefers Mommy milk to solid food, though he has recently discovered that banana yogurt isn’t too bad. We are not worried though about his eating habits. At his last appointment he was measuring in the 90th percentile for height and the 75th for weight.

He is grabbing for toys – or anything else he can get his hands on. The kid is on the move, too. He has managed to find his way across the room to get to a toy he has his eye on.

The Irishman and I were talking tonight about how all the other parents at the day care know Sean. Random parents, staff, and volunteers will come up to us to tell us that Sean smiled at them today. Even teething with an ear infection he was a happy boy. He is amazing!

It is funny to me how much alike they are looking in these pictures. The differences in their personalities are starting to show through. They are both such blessings!

I’ll leave you with a quick video of Sean and his balloon.

(Please ignore the fact that Caitlin is begging for diaper rash cream and has covered the couch in assorted blankets, toys, and bowls of crackers. This is our real life…)

We told Caitlin she could get one balloon from the dollar store a couple of weeks ago. She insisted that Sean needed one two, and in a moment of weakness I agreed to it. It was clear that “Sean’s balloon” was going to be Caitlin’s second balloon. As it turns out, he loves it!

We love you, Seanie!
