By the Light of the Moon

On the evening of our first full day in Sanibel we decided to squeeze in a second trip to the beach that day. The idea was to drive to a different beach to test it out. The adults didn’t plan on swimming, but we put Caitlin in her suit in case she decided to wade into the water.

It was a beautiful harvest moon.

Caitlin dug in the sand.

The adults admired the moon and the sunset.

I took pictures.

What you can’t see are the bugs! The mosquitos were like nothing I have ever seen before. As soon as the sun went down they were all over us! We literally ran back to the car to escape. Needless to say we decided not to head back to the beach at dusk!

That too looks like a great beach especially at dusk. Too bad about the mosquitos though. :(
