Buried

We went to the beach with Auntie June during her visit earlier this month. She agreed to let the kids (and the Irishman) bury her in the sand.

She was such a good sport about it!

The kids loved it.

Caitlin really misses her Auntie June!

~~~~~~~~~~~
Today is the first day of school. I spent about 7 hours at school this weekend and about 3 hours working from home. (Caitlin was at school for 5 hours on Satuday and thought it was the best thing ever! She had far mroe fun that I did!) I made major changes in my classroom and they are great, but I tried to do too much in too short a time. I love the things I did but I am frustrated with the things I didn’t get to. I have SO much to do at home and at school. Working all weekend also means I haven’t had a chance to rest.
To make matters worse, I tried to trim Caitlin’s bangs Sunday before her swim lesson. After the last time I said I wouldn’t do it again, but the hairdresser actually talked me into it. She said I hadn’t done that bad last time and gave me some tips. I tried to follow them, but Caitlin was sitting in a low chair and looked down as I made the first cut. I had to make another cut to try to even it out, but I was terrified to go near her.  It is bad enough that I am considering telling people at school that she did it herself.I am actually considering taking her to the children’s salon Tuesday afternoon and paying to have them try to even things out.
This is the first time since February 2009 that I am not pregnant or nursing. As a result I had to go bra shopping this afternoon. On the plus side I found some great deals on the clearance rack at Kohls. I won’t go into details, but let’s just say I needed a (much) smaller size. Sigh.
So if you are keeping track I am tired and already behind at school. My house is a mess. I butchered my daughter’s bangs and my chest size has decreased.
Is it Friday yet?
So sorry to hear about your misfortunes, but you made me burst out laughing in the last paragraph so that's something positive!
