"Sew" Great!

Last week Caitlin went off with Auntie Chris and Auntie June. I used the time to head to Grandma Betty's house for a sewing tutorial.

When she saw my summer "bucket" list, GB sent me an e-mail asking if she could make the dress with me. I was beyond thrilled! She had the materials, the know-how, and the patience to walk me through the process.

I am very happy with the end result. I told the Irishman that if you look close you can see my crooked seams...but that is just so you can be sure I made it myself!

GB also made the dress on the left dress to donate here. I am loving these dresses!

I still have to attach the matching bow onto a headband, but here is a quick peak at Caitlin in her new dress. I think she approves!

LOVE that...one part of me wishes I can sew, the other part is thankful...I don't need any more projects to work on :), but, I'd put my daughter & nieces in that in a heart beat. www.BreeBee.com

what an adorable dress!!! (both of them!) My mom is a wonderful seamstress and I can sew a bit but usually more crafty things than clothing. I really should attempt some clothes for my daughter and future Halloween costumes for all 3 kids! ha!

Congrats on making the dress - it's adorable! I've been reading the blog, but sometimes I can't comment from my phone. The pics always make me smile though!

Okay, those are the cutest dresses ever! It sure makes me wish I knew how to sew! I'm sending the directions to my mom and asking her to make some!

So adorable, I took fashion in highschool and actually had to make my prom dress for my final lol! I have been thinking about getting back into sewing myself! I am also letting fellow bloggers know I am going to start hosting a weekly event called Share It Saturdays. If you would be interesting you can find more info here http://thisstupidlamb.com/share-it-saturday/. Thanks and have a wonderful week!

You did a great job! What a beautiful little dress!! I wish I was that handy with a sewing machine, sadly though you wouldn't want to see what I would come up with. You really are checking off items from your bucket list left and right! :)
