Yesterday the Irishman decided we should take a trip to the beach. The weatherman said the high would be about 70 degrees...a little chilly for the beach, but we decided to give it a go. We bundled the baby up, packed all our gear, and headed to our local beach.
It was lovely in the sun. We were nervous about the baby in the sun though so she and I sat in a little tent.

If you notice in the picture the little tent seems a bit lopsided? That was the wind. The cold wind.
It was fine in the sun, but in the shade, our eyes were watering and my nose was running. I'd brought papers to grade, but the wind was so strong I worried about spelling tests flying down the beach. (I'm sorry Mrs. So-and -So, but your son's test flew into the Atlantic Ocean...) The sun bathers finally looked over and took pity on me. Hopefully we will get a better day to bring Nana back to the beach soon!
We have had such an odd winter. Caitlin has so many cute sun dresses, but it has been too cold to wear them. I broke down this week and bought some tights. I figure I will do like our friends up north and add some layers so she doesn't outgrow them before she gets to wear them!

Summer really needs to get her faster. If I lived anywhere near a beach I'd go crazy in the summer not being able to go there. Love your little girls outfit - how cute!
