Cozy...err...Convertible

This weekend we decided to use some of Caitlin's left over birthday money to pick up a Cozy Coupe. She has shown interest in the classic red car everytime we come across one. We were thrilled when we found one on clearance at Walmart.



Well, we were thrilled at first...

Caitlin knew what it was as soon as we took the parts out of the box. The Irishman worked, and worked, and worked to put it together. The little yellow top seems to be defective on the one we got on clearance.

After two and a half hours and a lot of swearing I present to you the Cozy Convertible.

Bet you didn't know they had a sports car edition, huh?

Happy Valentine's Day!

We ordered "official" Valentine's Day cards from Shutterfly...MOST of them are on their way to our family now. (There may be some going across the pond that are still in the front of the Irishman's car. Oops!)

For my class and our co-workers we had these little gems printed on wallet-sized Valentine-sized photos at Costco. Between the boots and the glasses this little girls has spunk! Quite a change from last year's three blog posts of Valentine photos!

It is a before 6am on Valentine's Day. I am baking the Chocolate Mint Creams I started last night for Caitlin's teachers, finishing my lesson plans for the week, and doing a load of laundry. How come I have a feeling it is going to be a long day?

The Irishman and I exchanged gifts last night. Let's just say he won Valentine's Day...again. (Did anyone else see that episode of Modern Family? That is so us!) He is a keeper! Caitlin's gift is sitting outside her bedroom door. We splurged and got her an Elmo that gives kisses. We've looked at it in the store and when Caitlin started blowing kisses this weekend...we couldn't pass it up! (And I'll add blowing kisses to the list of things we will try to catch on video for the family this week...)

I have a doctor's appointment this afternoon though so I will get to listen to the baby's heartbeat. I can't think of a better way to spend my Valentine's Day!

Cookin', Drivin', High Fiven', Drawin' Fun

Okay so I am out of titles. It may have been more accurate to say, "More Random Pictures from Saturday" but what fun would that be?



We have come to accept that one of these cars will be on our patio in the not-so-distant future.

While we have not had much luck with catching Sesame Street Characters before they go on their break, Minnie Mouse stuck around and gave Caitlin a high five.

Morgan thinks this looks like a teacher-in-training...

though I don't know many teachers in Tinkerbell costumes!

Toddler Toys

These are more photos from our trip to the indoor playground this weekend. More specifically, these are from the toddler room. The Irishman will be happy to know that I decided NOT to share the pictures of his adventures showing Caitlin how to crawl through the little tunnel. (Word of advice...toys in the TODDLER room are TODDLER sized!)

 

Playful Princess

Caitlin and I had so much fun on our Mommy and Caitlin Date that we decided to bring Daddy along to the indoor playground. The Irishman and I took close to 200 pictures in a two-hour window. We were THOSE parents! It was a lot of fun though...

Caitlin again was intrigued by the dress up clothes.

This time she decided on Tinkerbell.*

So. Darn. Cute.

I have a feeling we will be spending A LOT of time here this summer when it is too hot to be outside!

* Yes, I realize that Tinkerbell would be a fairy and not a princess, but Fairy Play didn't have the same ring to it...
