We've taken Caitlin to the beach before, but we decided this weekend it was time for her to really experience the beach...sand, water, and all.
She wasn't sure what the think of it at first,

but she was soon happily digging away in the sand!
Once she was comfortable in the sand we sat her near the edge of the water. After a while she started crawling towards the moving water. Everything was going great until a slightly larger wave came up. The Irishman grabbed her, but the splash in the face startled her. He held her and tried to get her to see that the water wasn't really out to get her, but she wasn't so sure...
She was much happier watching safely from the sand!
