Caitlin on Soccer

Hey y'all! It's Cailtin here. Mommy decided to let me take over today. She said something about surprising Daddy with this post. You see he doesn't know that Mommy took these pictures.



On Sunday he put me in my Liverpool kit. He LOVES his soccer, and Liverpool is his favorite team. The last couple of days he has spent a lot of time on that iPod thing I like to grab at. There was some big news about that human the bad orange cat was named for leaving the team and Daddy has been going online to get the latest news from across the pond...whatever that means!

I love to kick and my favorite toys are those round things. Daddy thinks that means I will play soccer some day, too!

I learned to scoot this week and am moving ALL over the place! Daddy spent hours this weekend putting up a new gate at the top of the stairs. Mommy said he must REALLY love me to do that because he wouldn't do a DIY project for anyone else in the world.

I almost have that crawling thing they keep talking about figured out. I can get up on my knees with my tummy off the ground. I can move my legs, but the part with moving your hands still seems a little too scary and I usually put my tummy on the ground and scoot instead. Mommy says I'll figure it out soon!

Mommy was teasing Daddy and saying that I will support his rival team as a teenager just to make him crazy, but I know I will be a Liverpool fan just like my Daddy. Besides, I look great in red! I just hope next time he gets me a jersey that fits. I'm looking a little like a plumber here!

This weekend we get to go to a party to watch the World Cup. I hear there will be lots of other babies there...mostly boys, but I guess that's okay. I am going to wear my best USA gear to cheer on the team. At least I know those clothes fit me!

Gotta run! There is a soccer ball calling my name...
