Nine Months Old

I’m a couple weeks late, but here are Sean’s 9 month photos.

It is hard to believe Sean is already nine months old. It does not seem possible!

He is growing up and discovering everything around him.

At his 9 month appointment he was 20 pounds and 30 inches. He is tall!

This boy is generous with the smiles these days. On Mother’s Day the waitress couldn’t stop looking at his happy face. I was worried we wouldn’t eat if Sean didn’t stop flirting!

Caitlin and Sean are interacting more and more as well. Caitlin has learned that if she laughs Sean will stop crying. They woke up from a nap at the same time this weekend and Caitlin immediately started to giggle to get her brother to stop fussing.

Here is a side by side comparison of Caitlin and Sean. He was much easier to photograph at this age!

Sean is still the sweetest, happiest little guy you will ever meet.

Making Faces

I have a ton of pictures from this weekend to post. I started working on Sean’s 9 month pictures but then realized I wanted to add comparison shots and that takes a lot of work from our aging PC. I was going to post about Mother’s Day but I still haven’t pulled the photos off the big camera.

That and I kept coming back to these.

We used the webcam several times this weekend to talk to my mom and family in Ireland. Sean has become quite generous with a smile – especially when he can see himself. After talking to Uncle Michael and his kiddos Saturday I turned the camera on the phone so that Sean could see himself. I love his faces!

Happy Mother’s Day

Caitlin took gave a video message, so we will let Sean work the photo part of the holiday. For those across the pond, today is Mother’s Day here.

IMG_9458

I have been thoroughly spoiled today by the Irishman and the kids. Sleeping in, lovely shower gels and time to shower, a gift card, Surf and Turf for lunch, lots of hugs and kisses…it has been bliss!

IMG_9461

Being a mother it makes me appreciate my own mother and grandmothers even more. They are amazing women and I love them so very much!

So to Grammy, Nana, and GGB - Happy Mother’s Day!

For Uncle Michael

Sunday after Mass we went to see Clifford the Big Red Dog Live on Stage. GGB bought us tickets for Christmas. As luck would have it we ended up sitting next to some friends that we didn’t know were going to the show. Afterwards we all walked to a park near the theater. It was warm, but Caitlin had a great time playing with “the boys.”

The Irishman saw the toys they had and got Caitlin to take a few pictures (and a video) for Uncle Michael.

For course Daddy had to get in on the fun, too.

As usual, Sean was happy to watch from his spot in the shade.

We love finding new parks. Our certain very independent two-year-old loves to swing and slide and climb - by herself!

Now if only that day hadn’t ended with a 103 fever…thankfully we are all better now!

Caitlin Push!

Now that Sean has outgrown his infant seat, I can no longer use the snap and go stroller. I still need a stroller to get into the house after school as I carry all our bags and such so we have been using a basic umbrella stroller.

Caitlin is thrilled. She is insisting on pushing him.

Thankfully I don’t think Sean minds too much!

Horsies are Sleeping

On our way home from buying Sean’s car seat on Saturday we decided to stop at the park to ride the carousel. As it turns out the carousel was closed. We had to convince Caitlin that the horsies were sleeping.

Thankfully the playground was open and thoughts of horses were replaced with swings and slides!

IMAG0766

Caitlin is still a little unsure about the swings. Sean is happy to just sit and swing. Caitlin wants to be pushed but then loses her nerve. She hides it well though by insisting that she must sit in every different colored swing.

Sean and Daddy enjoyed hanging out while Mommy chased Caitlin around the place.

Little Miss Independent was climbing all over the place!

And sliding, too!

Back to Smiles

We took Sean to the doctor yesterday to discover that he does not have an ear infection. We’d already started an antibiotic because of the symptoms so now we are stuck with that…and the side effects. I’m a bit bummed by that, but the most important part is that the little guy is feeling better! The virus that caused the fever seems to have moved on.

I took these pictures from my phone last night. The kids and I were playing outside while the Irishman made some phone calls for work. The AC repairman was supposed to be coming too, but they stood us up.

(But again we will focus on the little guy that is feeling better now!)

IMAG0784

The Irishman bought the planter for his poinsettias. Planting them will be next week’s project, so for now it is a photo prop!

IMAG0786

Caitlin decided she wanted to join in the fun, but then decided it was not her thing. So much for a picture of the two together, lol.
