Sunrise Mass on the Beach

Sean and I spent Easter in the hospital, but the Irishman took Caitlin to our annual Easter Sunrise Mass at the beach. She slept for the first part of Mass, but she enjoyed it once she woke up!

Getting these pictures sent to me made my day!

Happy Easter from the Hospital

Sean started running a high fever on Tuesday. He had a bit of a cough as well, but the doctor said it was just a virus and sent us home. Thursday we went back and were told he showed signs of walking pneumonia.

By Friday night Sean was admitted to the hospital. He has pneumonia. Saturday night he was almost moved to the PICU. Thankfully they adjusted his medication and he was much better this morning.

I feel like today was two steps forward and one step back. They had lowered his oxygen level only to have to raise it again this afternoon. He is getting better, but it is going to be a slow process.

Sean is on a limited diet, so we brought some empty Easter eggs to the hospital. He had a great time throwing the eggs out and watching Mommy and Daddy chase them around the room!

Forget the cookies!

Sean came shopping with me on St. Patrick's Day. Without Sissy along, he got all the attention. I had a bit of a flashback. All he wanted was a slice of bread! Caitlin used to do the same at that age.

When Daddy's Away...

The Irishman had to work late last week, so the kids and I sent him this picture. They love the forward facing camera on my phone!

If the shoe fits...

Last weekend the kids really wanted to go outside. The Irishman and I were cleaning the house and kept putting them off. After the fourth or fifth," In a a minute" they took matters into their own hands. The shoe choices are all their own doing!

Biking to the Park

The Irishman had a cold a few weeks ago, so the kids and I bundled up on an unusually cool morning and got out their bikes. We road past the duck pond and the fire station. (No, I do not own a bike, but I pushed Sean's tricycle.) They were thrilled! At Caitlin's request we went again the next weekend with a picnic basket. Fun times!

More St. Patrick's Day

We made our own parade on St. Patrick's Day!

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

This wouldn’t be Irish by Marriage without some St. Patrick’s Day pictures! Caitlin made this little hat at school. Friday was spirit day for me at school, so I let Sean wear my headband when I picked them up.

They are really just starting to play together. I love that they both made the same face in some of these photos. Too cute!

The Irishman had to work Saturday, so we did not think we would make it to the annual parade. He got off work across town 15 minutes before the parade started. After a quick change of clothes (no suit for the parade!) we got there for the tail end. As you can see from one of the pictures, Caitlin was not impressed with the noise.

However they both loved playing on the playground!

On the way home we picked up Shamrock Shakes. Yummy!

Extra Hands

Caitlin discovered last month that she can help carry the recycling bins from the curb to our house. Of course, Sean wants to do everything his sister does!
